Khataks

Khataks are traditional ceremonial scarves. The offering of a khatak to a lama or respected teacher is a gesture of recognition, love and respect. A single khatak may travel the world over, passed from one person to another in a continuous flow of blessings and good will. Khataks are also tied to stupas or special trees in recognition of inherent spiritual qualities, or draped on honored statues and photos of teachers.

These ten foot khataks are among the most beautiful you can buy. The eight auspicious symbols and blessings in Tibetan script are intricately woven into the fabric. They come individually, or in packages of five, one for each of the five Buddha family colors: white, blue, yellow, red-orange, and green.
